CANES Announces New Client and Family Caregiver Portal
CANES Community Care is pleased to announce that it is adding a new feature to its website – called the CANES Care Connext Portal. This new portal, developed by Procura, will allow CANES clients and family members to view scheduled visits and to request scheduling changes. Clients can also view paperless documentation such as their care plans and connect directly with family and friends.
“We are thrilled that we will now be able to connect clients with family members regardless of distance. The CANES Care Connext Portal will now provide the missing link between our agency and our clients,” stated Mike Valkama, COO at CANES. “This new service is fully integrated with Procura Client Relationship Management (CRM) software and will allow our clients to communicate quickly with our agency if there is a scheduling change or any other care related matter. It will eliminate time delays through telephone tag and voice mail messaging,” he added.
“This feature speaks directly to the new Accreditation Canada standards around Client and Family Centered Care,” noted Gord Gunning, CEO at CANES. “Families and caregivers will now be more informed of their loved ones care and the increased communication between the client and the CANES Scheduling Department will realize new efficiencies through the reduction of paperwork and time delays.” he stated.
In addition to this new feature CANES is also very pleased to announce that it is adding “Call Me” to our suite of Procura products. “The new Call Me module will give an electronic reconciliation and the real time verifications of the client visits. This will realize a significant reduction in paper and eliminate a tedious reconciliation process between our Scheduling and Payroll Departments. We expect to achieve significant time savings – over 1,000 hours annually - which will be re-directed to provide better client service and meet the growing demand in the communities we serve,” stated Jyoti Brar, Senior Director, Client Services.
