If you are, please consider joining the Board of Directors of CANES Community Care. We are seeking individuals with expertise and experience focused on the following areas: patient care and case management, either directly or in a management capacity; patient safety and service quality; marketing and communications. We welcome diversity and lived experience. Although previous Board experience is beneficial, CANES welcomes applications from people with the expertise listed above who are interested in furthering their development on a volunteer Board of Directors. We encourage clients and/or clients’ families to respond to this opportunity.
CANES mission is to “Provide outstanding support and care services that enhance the lives of our clients, enabling them to remain home and in their community.” We provide a variety of home care services in addition to other services such as transportation, friendly visitations, and behavioural supports in the west Toronto and surrounding areas. In fiscal 2020/2021 we helped over 4,500 individual clients and provided almost 500,000 units of service.
