Dear Golfers:
CANES Community Care was back to celebrate another successful Charity Golf Classic on Thursday June 9th at Lionhead Golf and Country Club, and we hope that you enjoyed this year’s event. As this was our 16th year, as we missed 2020 (among many other events due to COVID-19) We greatly appreciate your participation and generous contribution in support of this ongoing fundraising event.
As a CANES sponsor, you were a part of an event that raises funds to support CANES frontline activities to help seniors maintain their independence so that they can continue living at home. To date, you have helped us raise up to $80,000 over the years, to support our clients to remain independent. Your company or agency will be advertised and promoted below as an appreciation and recognition for your continued support. Please enjoy a few photos and moments from the day! Below, you can find a link to our CANES Facebook Page where, more photos will be uploaded. - Don't forget to Like Us, and follow!
Our theme this year was U.S. Open Tryouts. In year's past we've had a number of different themes, that included Ryder Cup, World Cup, Vintage Era, Florescent Colours and even Back to the 80's. We try to encourage players to dress in part to promote our theme. We hope you enjoyed dawning a few US of A golf gear at our tournament at Lionhead. The reasoning behind the U.S. Open Tryout theme, was because the real U.S. Open takes place the weekend after out tournament, so we thought we'd ride the coat tales of the real pros, and poke fun at the idea that our little charity tournament was a last minute tryout for the up-coming U.S. Open.
A Congratulations goes out to this year's U.S. Open Tryout Champions that had 2 CANES Employees and two from Humberview Mobility who were -13 on the day at Lionhead's Master's Course. The final score came down to a tie breaker on which team scored the least on the final hole. Another team will be forever etched into the New CANES Charity Golf Classic Trophy for years to come.

Congratulations to our Contest Winners
Men's Longest Drive: Aaron Randall - 'Wind Assisted' (Telus)
Men's Closest to the Pin: Aaron Randall (Telus)
Women's Closest to the Pin: Cara Chandler (AlayaCare)
Women's Longest Drive: Kim Shadlock (Home Instead)
