The Program Evaluator (OTF & Grant Writer) will work collaboratively with CANES senior management team, program staff and stakeholders and conduct evaluations for the OTF program and assist/write grant proposals.



  • In consultation with senior management and program team develops evaluation plan and implements it
  • Analyze statistics and evaluation findings as well as prepare evaluation report
  • Carries out evaluation of program ensuring appropriate policies, procedures and methods being utilized
  • Provides feedback on progress against intended objectives
  • Uses evaluation results to create charts, graphs or other techniques for data visualization
  • Develops and writes comprehensive evaluation reports, including final evaluation reports for senior management
  • Works with senior management to ensure that evaluations are in line with the organization mission and vision statements
  • Writes and submits grant proposal for this program



  • Significant experience in the not-for-profit sector and demonstrated success in program evaluation
  • Excellent grant writing skills with a proven track record of working with all levels of business leaders
  • Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) software


  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Commerce or equivalent)
  • Fluency in Hindi, Punjabi or Urdu preferred
  • Experience drafting business cases and government and/or foundation grant applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in program evaluations
  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Proven ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Experience in preparing & analyzing data is required
  • Experience in project management would be an asset



  • Valid class G driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle with valid insurance
  • Clear Police Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector screening
  • 35 hours a week
